Colorado X: Case Files of the Paranormal was the vision of Colorado Folklorist Jack Hanley who, in 2007, began field collections of supernatural and historical folklore for the Colorado Folklore Project. His research soon spawned the short-lived journal “Supernatural CO” in which he documented and investigated local cases of alleged paranormal sites from Colorado history with the assistance of a team of local historians and folklorists.

After filming a few investigations for various documentaries and recognizing the emerging popularity of Paranormal television programs, Jack founded his production company- Stańczyk Productions- in 2008 to remedy the many failures of the most popular Paranormal television shows…chief among them the polemicist format that failed to include an opposing viewpoint to the investigation.

Seeking out Colorado’s most distinguished and heralded Paranormal Researchers, Jack met Bryan and Baxter of the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society (pioneers in the newly emerging field of scientific Paranormal Research) who agreed to join the project.

In 2009 Jack founded Colorado X: Case Files of the Paranormal- a distinctly unique format in which a team of Paranormal Researchers would face off against a team of Academics and Skeptics to investigate Colorado’s most infamous cases of the Supernatural.

Based in the newly acquired Colorado X Headquarters (donated by a most generous benefactor) both teams collect, research, investigate and archive some of Colorado’s most notorious- and terrifying- cases of the Supernatural.

Join us in our investigations…and welcome to the Case Files.
